Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting Annual International Educational Symposium

Jeremy Casey and Keith Bagot from the FAA Airport Technology Research & Development (ATR) branch attended the Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) Annual International Educational Symposium on September 9-12, 2024, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In addition to attending several informational sessions, Casey and Bagot networked with other industry professionals. Key takeaways were that the fluoride-free foam (F3) transition is rapidly underway nationwide and training and planning for their use is a top priority. This conference is the largest one in the ARFF industry and allows ATR to conduct outreach, present valuable information and resources, and anticipate the needs for further research.
