Test and Evaluation of Modifications To ALSF-Threshold and Prethreshold Lighting to Improve Visual Guidance for Category II Operations

This report describes an evaluation, done at the request of FAA F light Standards Service, of modifications to the Standard U.S. ALSF-l Approach Lighting System to better suit it for use in support of Category II landing operations. Results of flight tests performed at NAFEC are detailed, along with conclusions derived from analysis of the data obtained
