The Airport Technology Research & Development Branch (ATR) hosted government and academic representatives from Taiwan on June 12, 2023. Dr. Shih-Hsien Sam Yang, Associate Professor, Dept. of Civil Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, and Dr. Jung-Feng Hu, Senior Engineer, Civil Engineering & Architecture Section of the Aerodrome Engineering Division, Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) visited ATR’s pavement test facilities, the National Airport Pavement Test Facility, and the National Airport Pavement & Materials Research Center.

In addition to the facility tours, the group held meetings on design, construction, evaluation, rehabilitation of airport pavements, and runway friction. Raymond Zee, Jeffrey Crislip, and Harold Muniz-Ruiz from the Airport Design & Construction Branch (AAS-110) also participated in the presentations and discussions.
