Ryan Rutter was awarded for his Outstanding Contributions to Testing. He was recognized for his vital leadership at the National Airport Pavement Test Facility (NAPTF), and the operation and maintenance of the Pavement Test Vehicle. Much of the research conducted in the facility would not be possible without Ryan’s leadership and expertise.
The Airport Technology R&D Branch also nominated the winner of the SNJPS Engineer of the Year award, Hasan Kazmee PhD. Hasan, who works for Applied Research Associates, was nominated as a result of his contributions to the advancement of airfield pavement design through analysis of accelerated pavement test data. Additionally, Lauren Vitagliano was nominated for the SNJPS Outstanding Aviation Research award. Lauren demonstrates her superior technical expertise while leading two of the biggest research areas for ATR: Airport Environment and Airport Noise. She also helps with Airport Planning and Design research, related to the environment.
