Darian Byrd of the Airport Technology Research & Development Branch (ATR) presented at the Government Contacts Sub-Committee meeting of the Illuminating Engineering Society Aviation Lighting Committee (IESALC). Darian’s session, Lighting Research & Development Projects, provided updates on key airport safety research projects including solar lighting at general aviation airports, Lighted X, and EMAS signage. The meeting was held in Washington, D.C. on April 20, 2023.
