Airport Technology Transfer Conference 2014

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sponsored the 2014 FAA Worldwide Airport Technology Transfer Conference August 5-7, 2014, held at the Stockton Seaview Hotel, Galloway, New Jersey, U.S.A. The theme for the conference was Innovations in Airport Safety and Pavement Technologies.

 

This was an international conference on the development of technology and its applications for airports. This conference provided a unique opportunity for both the aviation industry and the research community to interact and exchange information that ensures safe and more efficient airport operations. The conference also showcased a tour of the FAA National Airport Pavement Test Facility located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center.

 

More than 190 people from 14 countries attended this conference, including aviation personnel, research scientists and engineers, aviation consultants, manufacturers and suppliers. Sixty (60) papers were received and eighty-five (85) technical presentations were given during the conference. The conference showcased the FAA National Airport Pavement Test Facility, which was built in a partnership between FAA and the Boeing Company, and is now in its tenth year of operation. The conference provided an opportunity for both the aviation industry and the research community to interact and exchange information to ensure safe and efficient airport operations.
