Airport Technology Transfer Conference 2010

 

The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sponsored the 2010 FAA Worldwide Airport Technology Transfer Conference  April 20-22, 2010, held at the Resorts Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, U.S.A. The theme for the conference was Next Generation of Airport Technology.

 

This was an international conference on the development of technology and its applications for airports. This conference provided a unique opportunity for both the aviation industry and the research community to interact and exchange information that ensures safe and more efficient airport operations. The conference also showcased a tour of the FAA National Airport Pavement Test Facility located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center.

 

More than 165 people attended this conference from all over the world including aviation personnel, research scientists and engineers, aviation consultants, manufacturers and suppliers. Seventy-eight (78) papers were accepted and seventy (70) presentations were given during the conference. The conference showcased the FAA National Airport Pavement Test Facility, which was built in a partnership between FAA and the Boeing Company, and is now in its tenth year of operation. The conference provided an opportunity for both the aviation industry and the research community to interact and exchange information to ensure safe and efficient airport operations.
