Summary – Reflective Cracking Outdoor Phase I (RCOD I)

• Applied traffic loads to the “traffic and temperature” (TT) section only using the FAA’s Heavy Vehicle Simulator for Airports (HVS-A).
• Traffic start/end dates:  February 11-18, 2020.
• Total passes: 2976
• By the end of the traffic testing several reflection cracks were observed on the east and west edges along joint TT34, TT45, and TT56.
• The first bottom-up reflection crack appeared on Day 2 of traffic testing (February 12, 2020).
