Load Type Table
This table provides information regarding the various load types used during Phase 4 testing. CC8 Phase 4 did not involve simulated aircraft wander. All slabs were loaded on a single wheel track (zero wander). The GearLoadType category specifies the gear type and configuration. For each GearLoadType, there are eight unique GearLoadID entries, each corresponding to one of the eight Test Items. Single Wheel gear was used for trafficking the outer lanes. The traffic test on the inner lane slabs was initially conducted using an D gear centered on offset +/- 7.75 ft. The NAPTV modules were positioned such that the outer wheels of the D gear travelled through offsets +/- 10 ft. After 25000 passes were applied without any visual or sensor-related signs of damage, the FAA adjusted the traffic plan and continued the testing using a higher-wheel-load S gear to ensure the slabs experienced damage. The S gear was positioned at +/- 7.75 ft offset. However, the testing was paused due to facility shutdown after 838 passes of the S gear. On April 05, 2023, the traffic tests on the CC8 S/F inner lanes commenced using the S gear positioned at . The zero-wander moving load trafficking was carried out using S modules at offsets +/-10 ft on both the south and north sections.
